On Saturday the 28th of October, Huddersfield Town Hall will host a concert themed on 'Brass around the world'. The venue is well-known for celebrating the town's musical prowess and hosting traditional brass music in particular.

The performance will feature swiss brass musician Kathleen Gaspoz, who is making her solo debut.  Brighouse and Rastrick band recruited Kathleen in April of this year from Black Dyke.

Gaspoz became their first ever female Principal Cornet in the band's 136 year history.  The band said that she will relish performing at Huddersfield's iconic venue.

The event is set to be a treat for Brass enthusiasts, Gaspoz will be supported by what organisers are calling "the best of brass". Highly rated local band, Brighouse and Rastrick, will play alongside their guests, Foden’s Band, in their prestigious Autumn Massed Bands Concert.

Foden, hailing from Chesire, will make the short trip across the Pennine Hills to play for Huddersfield's brass lovers.

Tickets are available from Kirklees outlets at Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Dewsbury. Alternatively, the ticket office can be reached on its telephone number 01484 225755, or online from www.kirkleestownhalls.co.uk
